Welcome to the wonderful world of barefoot massage therapy. Yes, that means applying massage therapy techniques with your feet. Your workshop is designed to introduce you to basic techniques using a high stool system that is reliant on the set up being against a wall. This allows the working therapist to apply gentle deep tissue techniques to the muscles of the upper & mid back, shoulders, chest wall and neck.
Smooth transitions from barefoot to hands on techniques will also be practiced. The RMT will use various aspects of their foot (forefoot, full plantar contact as well as calcaneus) to engage soft tissue and mobilize joint structure. For anyone remotely curious about how it feels to do the work they love with their feet & keen on body saving modalities this is a ‘must-take’ workshop.
The best part of this workshop, is that you can take your techniques back into your practice right away without requiring any major set up or modification to your current treatment room.
